"King James"
LeBron Raymone James came on the scene during his High School Career, at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. He came in with all of the "HYPE" of being the next MJ. As a high school player he had the weight of the world on his shoulders. He was so impressive that he had stars attend his high school games, which made his games be played at Akron University just to be able to be able to allow the number of visitors who came from all over the country to see this young man, play. LeBron was an all around player in High School, while others felt that he was a MJ wanna be, who wanted to just settle with the jump shot and enjoys the fancy dunk. Check this video about LeBron while he was just in High School.
From High School to the 2003 NBA draft, LeBron had already stolen the hype from College stand-puts such as Carmelo Anthony, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, David West, and T.J. Ford. He became the first round draft pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers, which was the only selection of a High School player in the 1st round of the Draft. He was one of the most anticipated number one picks in the draft over the several years. People speculated as they "should", for he is a HIGHLY publicized high school player who has all of these expectations...the main question was, is he the next MJ? The thing is he had someone else who he had to deal with before he could compare himself to Jordan. He had to prove that he was better than the "best" player in the world, Kobe Bryant. Me personally I can't stand Kobe.
He is one of the greater players of the game, but he is no Lebron. People compare them at all times, some say that LeBron won't be better than Kobe simply because of the number of championships that he has won. While LeBron hasn't won any yet, he still has made a damn good attempt. Kobe began winning championship rings once he got the help of others *cough* *cough* Shaq. But, no one can really tell who is the better person b4 stats, or number of championships, we can only assume and create general assumptions depending on out own views.
Now, that Lebron has left Cleveland after six years, he has joined to of his NBA Draft Classmates in MIAMI!!! LeBron left Cleveland to join Dwanye Wade and Chris Bosh, forming one of the biggest threats since the Boston Celtics acquiring of Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett to assist Paul Pierce for his quest for a championship. People have said that LeBron pulled a punk move by joining the Heat to win a championship, but what gives them the right to say that.
The Heat have become a great threat in the Eastern Conference, at first they started off a little rocky. LeBron was doing his part just waiting on his other teammates to start doing theirs. But since their spark have lite, they have been doing nothing but causing HEAT problems for the league. Some say that they won't win a championship, but I believe in King James and he won't let me down. Lebron James, is the new and improved MJ. He takes his pride out of the equation and makes his decision based on his friends and family. LeBron James, is a great player and he is making everything more complicated for his opponents. So, I leave you with this, was LeBron James worth all of the hype?
