Hanging out with FRIENDS

Before the obsession with The Situation and JWow's boobs. Before America's Next Top Model. Before reality tv was even on the air. There were actual sitcoms. I know, shocking. There were shows with writers who told actors what to say (not that reality tv doesn't do this ).  It was a simpler time, a beautiful time when Friends aired every night at 7 after the nightly news. This is when my obsession began.

Friends ran from.September 22, 1994 to May 6, 2004. 10 wonderful years of hilarity, drama, laughter, and heartbreak. Now there are some people who say they love Friends. And say that they are obsessed with it.
I would say that I am the ruler that they will measure their obsession against, and you will lose. No I am not that girl with Friends posters all over her room and Friends t-shirts and bumper stickers, because that does not show how much of a fan you are, that just shows that you have no other hobbies. I'm 75% kidding on this. but really, if all you wear is the memorabilia from a show, you are not supporting the show, you are weird. I digress.

Friends, in my opinion, did a great thing by stopping production at 10 seasons. When shows don't know when to stop, is when their credibility and legacy is cheapened.

Friends has become part of American pop culture as a classic show. The characters on the show had real impacts on the culture of America. Rachel Green's haircut on the show became known as "The Rachel" haircut. It was the haircut to have in the 90s.

Joey Tribianni's pick up line of "How you doin?" became not only recognizable but an acceptable means of communication. You were clever and funny if you said it because you obviously watched Friends and  ( in my mind) were therefore cool

The Friends theme song has become a symbol for the show to this day. You can't hear the catchy song without automatically thinking of the show. The two will be forever linked.

So much about this show has shaped our pop culture and will be remembered, at least by me, as the best show ever!
Now here is a short little clip of one scene that I think is really funny. I think Ross and I would get along swimmingly with both of our sarcastic humor.
Enjoy.
